The Basics of Cost Accounting: Product Costing Professional Course is a course which can be taken through the Coursera website. This professional course has been evaluated using the Professional, and Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Indicators of Success, I believe that Professional Indicator 1: Maintains a good work ethics, was essential in helping me complete this course and retain the necessary knowledge to benefit from it. While Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Indicator 4: Executes plans and evaluates results effectively, this Played a major role in helping me staying efficient, due to tracking my progress and adjusting accordingly. I believe that I am at the beginner level in regards to cost accounting because I have barely scratched the surface with this course, as it is a broad and complicated subject. The cost of accounting course is formatted like most coursera courses where you log in whenever you want and complete as much as you like, this includes having to completes several lessons each with their required reading materials, videos, and quizzes. After finishing all the lessons you earn your professional certification. The biggest challenge I faced during this course was that at the time I didn’t have all the necessary prerequisite information the course assumes I had. When I realized this I took the time to learn that information from other sources like Youtube videos to fill the holes, thankfully it wasn’t much as I had most of the prerequisite information.
